Writers & Poets Peer Review Group

Every first Wednesday of the month writers & poets meet at SHAMc (706 2nd St. N. Safety Harbor) from 6:30 p.m. to whenever we finish. Bring one project (ie: one poem, one chapter, one essay, one short story) of no more than 2000 words, double-spaced, 12-point font, and the group will help you make it shine.

Please come prepared, as there are no copy machines or staplers available at SHAMc.

InPrompt2 and Open Mic

InPrompt2 is a night of fun! This new endeavor happens every second Wednesday of the month and will feature all members of the community who participate in writing to the monthly prompt. Keep your reading to under 7 minutes and all submissions must fit the theme. Prizes will be awarded! January's prompt is SHOES. The cost of admission is $2 at the door. Read more about it.

Our open mic night, SHAMc Alive, hosted by the talented Ed Derkevics, happens every fourth Wednesday of the month from 7 to after 9 p.m. Sign ups start at 6:30 at SHAMc, 706 2nd St. N. in Safety Harbor.

Original poetry, prose, music, and more is welcome. Please remember to keep the night fun & enjoyable for all. You get five minutes to share your talents. Beer, wine, water and soda are available for purchase and proceeds benefit the center.
